Chili Recipe 2.0

INGREDIENTS
    • 1 pound ground beef, chuck preferred
    • 1 small-medium onion, diced
    • 2 large cans diced tomatoes
    • 2 cans dark red kidney beans, drained
    • 1 can condensed tomato soup
    • 1 can green chili peppers (4oz)
    • 2 tsp cumin
    • 1-2 cloves garlic
    • 2 1/2 tablespoons regular chili powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • 2 tsp salt
    • If its too thick – add 1 cup of water

INSTRUCTIONS:

Season the beef with salt and pepper, and brown over medium-high heat in a dutch oven or pan (if putting in crock pot).  Add the onion and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the onions are slightly softened. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45-60 minutes, stirring about every 15 minutes.  If you choose to cook in the crock pot, cook on low for 4-5 hours.  Add shredded cheddar, or your favorite chili topping if desired.
