Product Review: Microplane Rasp Grater

When I started making my own salad dressings (and lasagna – see chicken lasagna recipe) I realized the importance of a good microplane. I couldn’t believe how often I needed to create zest. After having a lower quality version of this one, I can tell you the one at Williams Sonoma is now my favorite. The fold over edge (instead of being flat with plastic sides) is a game changer as well as the sharpness of the blades. If you don’t have this basic tool in your stockpile, I suggest investing in one. Oxo has a nice version as well. Here’s the one we use in a bunch of our recipes:
