In a pinch, the fam loved this simple red sauce over pasta:
INGREDIENTS:
- Half red onion – chopped
- 2 scoops minced garlic
- 3 tbsps Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- Large can tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp sugar
DIRECTIONS:
- In a saucepan cook the onions and garlic down in the 1 tbsp of olive oil until softened.
- Add 3 tbsps of balsamic vinegar, tomato sauce, sugar, and seasonings and warm for 10 minutes on low to medium heat.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Voila! Pasta sauce in a pinch!
