Chef Simeon’s Emergency Red Sauce

In a pinch, the fam loved this simple red sauce over pasta:


  • Half red onion – chopped
  • 2 scoops minced garlic
  • 3 tbsps Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • Large can tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning 
  • 1 tsp oregano 
  • 1 tsp sugar


  1. In a saucepan cook the onions and garlic down in the 1 tbsp of olive oil until softened.
  2. Add 3 tbsps of balsamic vinegar, tomato sauce, sugar, and seasonings and warm for 10 minutes on low to medium heat.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste.

Voila! Pasta sauce in a pinch!
