Nana’s Green Beans

These green beans are sure to sooth your soul.  Nothing like a good comfort food side on these cold winter days…


1 packet uncured cubed ham

2 bags frozen cut green beans

1 onion

2 tbsp minced garlic

1 cup water

3 tbsp butter


Fry ham in 1 tbsp butter. Add diced onion and saute’ till clear.  Add green beans and cover with water (about 1 cup).   Season with salt, pepper, and granulated garlic.  Add 2 tbsp of butter and cook down until most of the water is gone.  Serve as a side dish.
