Sometimes recipes don’t work out.  Case in point, the photo to the left.  I took a stab at soap making the other day, and needless to say it didn’t turn out good.  The bright side of things is I kept trying, and now my soaps are coming out like they should (see photo to the right).  The moral of the story is that cooking isn’t always easy.  Sometimes recipes turn into hilarious pinterest fails.  But with every failure you learn something from your mistakes and the knowledge that you build up by failing over and over again eventually leads you to success.  It makes your future recipes better.  It makes you cook smarter.  Just ask my husband about the first batch of gumbo I ever made (short story: we had to throw it out).  Don’t ever give up.  Keep cooking, keep failing, and the times you succeed will taste that much better.  Happy Thursday!
